Our Story

From Small Diameter Installations to All Things Trenchless—Regardless of Size

Our Roots

Before Nova Lining ever came to be, Jared McCaskill charted a different course—one on the open waters. As a licensed USCG 100-ton charter boat captain, Jared spent his days guiding vessels and adventurers. However, in 2009, as the economy took a downturn, Jared found himself at a crossroads. It was then that he stepped into the world of trenchless technologies, accepting a leadership role on a government and municipal Cured in Place Pipe (CIPP) lining crew. On that crew, Jared met a project manager whose passion for trenchless technology matched his own. The two quickly discovered a shared drive and curiosity for the innovations reshaping underground construction. Together, they would soon embark on a journey that would change the course of their careers and lay the foundation for Nova Lining.

.

Discovering how trenchless changed everything

Jareds entry into trenchless technology was defined by swift skill development and expanding expertise. Immersed in the field, Nova Lining quickly saw the remarkable efficiency of trenchless methods, which helped government agencies avoid costly roadwork and allowed homeowners to preserve their properties during sewer replacements. Early on, Nova Lining took on patented all-in-one liner installations, handling up to 20 projects weekly. This extensive hands-on experience with both all-in-one and two-part processes enabled the company to master small diameter installations and stay at the forefront of trenchless innovation.

Growing faster than the ground can break

As the world entered the COVID era, Jared McCaskill made the bold decision to buy out his partner, seizing the opportunity to expand the company’s services and footprint. By bringing aboard key personnel such as combat Marine veteran Jorge Mazo, Nova Lining strengthened its leadership, deepened its technical expertise, and fully embraced every aspect of trenchless technology.

The company’s reputation for excellence is well-earned, with successful installations spanning Arlington National Cemetery, Fairfax Courthouse, Fort Meade, entire HOA communities and Serving municipalities, state agencies, commercial clients, and homeowners alike, Nova Lining has become synonymous with taking on projects others considered impossible and consistently delivering superior results. Today, the company excels across every discipline of trenchless solutions—from lateral lines to mainline systems and beyond. The team’s spirit of innovation is so strong that, if asked to perform a lining project aboard the International Space Station, Nova Lining would rise confidently to the challenge.

  • The first time that you contact us we will ask you questions like
  • Has the line been snaked recently?
  • how recent did it backup and how often?
  • Has a camera inspection been performed and if so can you provide us a copy of the video?
  • Once we have requested this information, we will then schedule a full assessment.

The sewer line in my 140-year-old row house ruptured and was filled with roots. It would have been a nightmare to trench 50 feet in my finished basement to replace it. I was so fortunate to find Nova Lining Co. to do trenchless repair and replacement. They replaced the broken pipe sections, cleaned out the entire pipe, and lined the entire new and existing pipe with a resin/epoxy liner -- all through a 2 ft x 2 ft hole outside the house. It was an amazing operation to watch. I was impressed with the skill of the workers and how hard they worked. The president of the company, Jared McCaskill, took the time to walk me through the entire process and explain arcane terms. He has built a really remarkable team. I couldn't recommend them highly enough.
